Last weeks game of the week featured the Bulldogs of Laurel and the Eagles of Hodgson. It turned out to be anything but a game as the Eagles won 37-9. For week 2, several games stood out as possible games of the week. After hours of debating the Delmar/Cape Henlopen game gets the win. Delmar moved up to the number 1 in the Shore Sports top 10 after number 1 Sussex Central lost to northern Delaware team Brandywine. Cape Henlopen took an overtime lost against IR in week 1 falling 45-42 in O.T. Two things we found out last week about Delmar and Cape was they both have good offenses. The Delmar D did get a shut out against a very week Lower Cape May team last week. But if there is any doubt about the Wildcats D, its the pass defense. They will need to prove themselves tonight against a strong passing game from Cape or this game could get ugly. The Wildcat offense should have no problems scoring, so if the Corners and Safety's shut down the pass, look for Delmar to take a rout. But if they don't, it could be a very close score to Capes game last week with IR.
Other games on the radar include Stephen Decatur @ IR and CR at Middletown.
